Edward Ho is Managing Director and Head of Asia at Leonteq, a Swiss listed company with a leading marketplace for structured investment solutions. Through Leonteq’s three offices in Hong Kong, Singapore and Tokyo, Edward coordinates the company's business activities, directing marketing efforts and overseeing the development of the whole Leonteq platform, including local partnerships. He additionally spearheads the Company's growth strategy in Asia. Previously Edward led Merian Global Investors in Hong Kong until it was successfully acquired in 2020. From 2015 to 2018 Edward was Managing Director of Wells Fargo Asset Management and Asia Pacific Head of Client Coverage, where he developed a professional team providing tailor-made solutions for institutional asset owners throughout the Asia Pacific.Edward’s asset management expertise grew from earlier work running equity derivatives. As Standard Chartered Bank’s Managing Director and Global Head of Equity Derivatives Sales from 2008 through 2015, he first developed the Bank’s global equity derivatives business into a substantial and lucrative franchise. Bear Stearns & Co. had engaged Edward from 2005 to 2008 as its Senior Managing Director and Asia Head of Equity Derivatives. Within a short span of time the equity derivatives business he built attained a size and profitability which made Bear Stearns a major player in Asia. Standard Chartered subsequently invited Edward to join the bank.From 2000 to 2005 Edward served as Merrill Lynch’s Director of Equity Derivatives Sales.Edward is on the board of Hong Kong’s biggest “Green” NGO, WWF-HK, where he served as Chairman for six years. Edward is a member of the Council and the Court of City University of Hong Kong, a member of the Council and Chair of the Audit Committee of Hong Kong Arts Development Council, member of Market Development Committee of Financial Services Development Council. As an appointed member of the Consumer Council, Edward continues his service in monitoring and regulatory work for the community, after serving for seven years on the Disciplinary Panel of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
