Dr. Edward Harcourt re-joined Warwick on 20 August 2012 to support the Registrar and the senior academic management team in driving forward a range of new projects and strategic initiatives.

Dr Edward Harcourt was Director, International Relations, at the University of Birmingham from 2009-2012. At Birmingham he was responsible for teams leading on international student recruitment, student mobility and exchange, the development of overseas offices, and advised the Vice-Chancellor and the senior management team on the University's global engagement strategy in China, the United States and many other countries.

Member of International Office management group with particular responsibility for broadening the international agenda. Led on Warwick's international links to universities and other bodies, working closely with the Vice-Chancellor to develop the Warwick 'core partnerships', a set of deep relationships with peer institutions such as Monash University.

Undertook project work and special assignments for the Registrar and Vice-Chancellor, including strategic reviews of academic departments and a full feasibility study into an overseas campus.
