I was a Litigation Attorney for a 15-attorney firm in Lansdale which offers a full range of legal services to individuals, small businesses, municipalities, and school districts throughout Southeastern Pennsylvania. I handled mostly plaintiffs' personal injury and construction defect defense cases while assisting other attorneys in the firm with the litigation aspects of other matters. While with the firm, I also assisted in the settlement of numerous cases on terms favorable to our clients and had several cases against our clients dismissed by agreement of counsel or by the court based upon my legal arguments. I also served as an arbitrator in the Court of Common Pleas of Lehigh County.

During various times during my career, I have owned and operated my own law office for the general practice of law with an emphasis on personal injury litigation. While operating this office, I successfullly negotiated the settlement of numerous significant personal injury cases, including: a complicated highway design liability case against PennDOT, an engineering company, and two independent contractors which had negligently rebuilt the shoulder of an exit ramp on a state highway as part of a major reconstruction project which resulted in serious personal injuries to my clients; a large underinsured motorist claim against my client's own insurance company which included damages for psychological trauma caused by my client's accident, and a slip and fall case against an amusement park for injuries caused by my client's slipping on wet steps in a water park.

Covered local high school and professional sports for five weekly local newspapers; duties included covering games, interviewing athletes and coaches, taking pictures, and assisting with layout of sports sections of five different weekly local newspapers in the Lehigh Valley of Eastern Pennsylvania.

I personally managed or assisted in the defense of a wide variety of complex personal injury and insurance claims, including motor vehicle, premises liability, construction and products liability cases for several major insurance companies for a small insurance defense firm in Philadelphia which handled cases throughout Eastern Pennsylvania and South Jersey. While with the firm, I wrote several motions in Limine to preclude evidence in a major products liability case which were granted by the court, helping the firm to obtain a very favorable settlement in a complicated case with significant adverse jury potential involving the death of a child. I also successfully negotiated settlements favorable to our clients in several other cases and assisted in the litigation of several large cases which were ultimately resolved in our clients' favor.

I was a Litigation Attorney for a small insurance defense firm in Bethlehem, where I handled a wide variety of personal injury cases, including motor vehicle, premises liability, construction, and civil rights cases. While with the firm, I assisted in the defense of several death cases which resulted in favorable settlements for our clients, had one death case dismissed by the court based upon my motion for sanctions for failure to comply with discovery requests, and saved a client more than $1 million in potential attorneys fees in a civil rights case as a result of my legal research and memorandum of law on a complicated area of law.

I served as the Assignment Manager, which was third in command of the award-winning news department of our local television station; I was responsible for daily generation of story ideas, interaction with story sources, assignment of stories, arranging and conducting interviews and fact-checking stories: I also assigned and tracked company vehicles for all news personnel. Demonstrated strong inter-personal relations and attention to detail. Coordinated coverage of several major news stories, including the resignation of a local police chief, the Space Shuttle Columbia disaster, the first anniversary of the 9-11 attacks, and the 2003 invasion of Iraq in which I made the decision to pre-empt local programming to show a simulcast of live CNN coverage.

Booked and performed magic shows at hundreds of private and public events and festivals as one of several characters, sold magic and magicians supplies in retail magic shop and at magic conventions, taught magic for children at two local community colleges, and provided professional development, show creation, prop selection, marketing, and other services for professional and amateur magicians and other entertainers throughout Eastern Pennsylvania, New York, and New Jersey; also planned, marketed, and helped to manage dozens of private magic workshops, lectures, and magic conventions throughout the Lehigh Valley region on my own and as a member of two local magic clubs in Allentown and Reading.

I served as Assistant Vice President and New Business Development Officer for Investment Managment Division of local bank trust department. I was responsible for identifying and developing individual and small business investment management accounts and fiduciary accounts for individuals and estates through personal contact and bank referrals throughout Eastern Pennsylvania, including 11 banks throughout Lehigh, Northampton and Berks Counties. I was the first Trial Attorney and later became Managing Attorney of the Philadelphia Personal Injury Unit of Jacoby & Meyers, a national law firm with offices in eight states, including Pennsylvania and New Jersey. While with the firm, I tried and won the first major jury trial in the unit's history, winning a plaintiff's verdict in federal court in Philadelphia in a slip and fall case against a supermarket for spilled liquid detergent which was allowed to remain on the floor for too long due to negligent store procedures. As managing attorney, I was responsible for reviewing all new cases and deciding whether to accept, decline or refer the same to other firms, supervising all attorney staff, managing all cases in active litigation, and personally litigating the most serious cases retained by the office.

I was a Litigation Attorney for a small insurance defense firm in Philadelphia, where I handled the defense of a wide variety of personal injury cases, including motor vehicle, uninsured motorist, underinsured motorist, and premises liability claims for several major insurance companies and some other matters. While with the firm, I obtained a defense verdict for our client in federal court in Philadelphia in a rear-end collision case in which our client was allegedly speeding and rear ended another vehicle on Route 209 in the Poconos. I successfully argued to the jury that the Plaintiff was primarily responsible for his own accident for pulling out in front of our client within the assured clear distance ahead without using his turn signal. The verdict was upheld on appeal to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.

I started my legal career at Post & Schell when it was a medium sized Philadelphia firm. I worked primarily out of the firm's Philadelphia and Allentown offices, where I handled a wide variety of personal injury cases, including motor vehicle liability and insurance claims, premises liability, medical malpractice, products liablity, toxic tort, and other litigation matters for numerous property and casualty insurers. I also handled subrogation, plaintiffs' personal injury and some general practice matters. While with the firm, I spent six months in court in the trial of a lead poisoning case where our client had settled with the plaintiff prior to trial, handled day to day management of a group of toxic tort cases involving a landfill in NJ, and tried a motor vehicle accident case to a defense verdict in behalf of our client, who was joined an additional defendant on his wife's claim against PennDOT. I also served as an arbitrator in the Philadelphia County Court of Common Pleas.
