At M&E Consultants we were able to leverage our joing expertise in marketing, broadcasting and supercomputing to win some lucrative consultancy contracts in the broadcasting and telecoms industry and performing due dilligence on one UK/German based acquisition.

As a consultant to Mediaset, Italy's principal commercial broadcaster, I guided two projects concerned with the launch of Italian Digital Terrestrial Television: Italy's first Electronic Program Guide for DVB-T, and the effort to diversify revenue streams from advertising customers, focusing on viewer profiling and gathering of viewer behavior data.I was also a member, on behalf of Mediaset, of Erik Lambert's team at the DGTVi which wrote the Italian D-Book, standard for Italian Digital Terrestrial Television receivers, leveraging my knowlege of Digital Terrestrial Television from BBC Research and Development, and I am named in the first Italian D-Book as co-author and translator.

Developing Internet Commerce Business in collaboration with research scientists at HP Labs, Bristol.My experience working with the inspiring team at the UK's foremost Direct Marketing company and the Post Office's largest private customer, also taught me the basics of mail-based fulfillment services, and gave me my first experience of list based marketing and customized delivery of commercial information, subsequently a career passion of mine.

My collaboration with engineers at Hewlett Packard Labs in Bristol on behalf of Direct Marketing Company 'Mail Marketing' was a high point of my early career, as we developed the technology and marketing strategy to build some successful electronic shops.Our focus was an internet marketplace for Aardman Animations, the Bristol-based creators of Wallace and Gromit, and in 1996 when other major UK retailers were not yet profitable with their online shops, we achieved a discrete success with orders from across the world for merchandising based on Aardman's household-name brands.

Spent my summers at University working at TRL, and had a very enjoyable time in my first job, doing exciting technical work for a young university student.Designed and engineered sophisticated object visualisation software in Fortran 77; analysed crash test data from many vehicles which were crashed into each other at high speed to test their safety.Some very enjoyable and mind-opening experiences.
