Edward Kuruvilla’s practice covers all areas of dispute resolution including contract law and equity, land law, public law, constitutional law, corporate law, construction law, tax law, enforcement of foreign judgments, defamation, arbitration, mediation and negotiation. He regularly appears as counsel and co-counsel at all levels of the Malaysian Courts including the Federal Court, the Court of Appeal, the High Court and the Special Commissioners of Income Tax (SCIT). In addition to active litigation practice, Edward Kuruvilla also has experience servicing statutory bodies, the scope of advice usually focused on the interpretation of their relevant statutes and the exercise of their respective statutory functions.Having always taken an academic interest in the law, Edward Kuruvilla, in 2019, earned a Master of Laws Degree (LL.M.) from the University of Malaya, successfully obtaining Distinctions in various subjects including ‘Advanced Administrative Law: Constitutional Review’, ‘Arbitration Law’, 'Alternative Dispute Resolution', ‘Construction Law’, 'Civil Litigation', 'International Business Transactions Law', 'International Human Rights and Humanitarian Law', 'Biodiversity Law' and 'Issues Relating to Minorities and Indigenous Peoples'.
