As the product owner and manager of First American's AWS infrastructure product, my team and I are responsible for creating automation capable of delivering AWS accounts that adhere to company security, networking, and operational standards to our internal application development teams. We do this using AWS Cloud Formation, HashiCorp Terraform, Microsoft Azure DevOps, git, and a number of other modern tools, languages, and techniques such as Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and SAML federation with Azure Active Directory (Azure AD). Developing this product requires adept communication and negotiation skills with the many internal departments of a Fortune 500 company.As the product owner, I create, refine, and prioritize user stories that include feature requests from my internal customers as well as internally sponsored work to continually improve the capabilities of our product. Inherent in my day-to-day work is an "automate everything" mindset.The managerial component of my role includes management of the product development team which consists of both onshore and offshore developers. Responsible for infrastructure and line of business projects and operations for some of First American’s largest revenue products. Support for 12 of First American’s business units. This involves leading a team of onshore and offshore server administrators to build our new Windows based test and production environments.I worked closely with the business relationship managers, project managers, network engineers, and information security team to deliver well designed business solutions. The environment consists of Windows Server 2012 – 2019 servers as well as various versions of Microsoft SQL server including the use of SQL Always On technology. Manage systems using Microsoft PowerShell. Work with application development teams to produce application flow and network design diagrams. Provide 24 x 7 support for all systems. Assisting with the move of application from on-premises to the cloud. Implement solutions using AWS and Azure IaaS and PaaS services.

During my tenure at Experian, I have consistently been given roles of increasing global responsibility. Currently, I lead a global team responsible for the design, implementation, and operation of Experian’s collaboration and desktop infrastructure. This includes the successful deployment of a standardized platform based upon Microsoft technologies such as SharePoint 2010, Exchange Server 2010, SQL Server, Active Directory, and Office Communications Server. This infrastructure provides services for a global community of over 15,000 users in over 30 countries.Other responsibilities have included the operational and financial management of Experian’s mission critical electronic commerce Internet environment comprised of Sun and x86 hardware, BEA Weblogic and JBoss software. Responsibilities included system integration, production operational readiness certification, and post-implementation support of this revenue generating environment.I have also managed our entire North American Microsoft Windows production environment – both infrastructure and revenue generating - including the support and management of over 1,000 servers and 15,000 Windows workstations. This included the design and deployment of Microsoft Operations Manager, HP System Insight Manager, Microsoft SCCM management platforms as well as integration into our data center management platform.

I served as a key technical lead (architect, developer, manager) for key components of Experian’s online credit reporting system, File One. In this role, I managed software development staff for critical, high volume software components. Key to the success of this project was my ability to mentored several inexperienced developers as well as motivate and challenge senior developers to deliver world-class code focused on API’s, exception handling, instrumentation, performance tuning, and extensibility.
