Reviews and evaluates all payroll functions for adherence to Sanford Stem Cell Institute budget guidelines and UC San Diego policies.Applies professional or research concepts to perform analysis of data and systems pertaining to moderately complex projects, policies, initiatives, / processes, and / or functions. Provide support and guidance to supervisors and managers in developing job descriptions, and provides guidance on personnel policies, and procedures. Supports reviews, interpretation and application of bargaining unit contract requirements to action(s) for represented employees with respect to classification and/or compensation matters.Participates in administrative / research policy and program project planning and development. Makes recommendations to Sanford Stem Cell Institute supervisors, managers, directors and Center leads. Prepare supporting analysis prior to submitting unique HR Requests. Provides subject matter expertise in Staff Administration & Human Resources for Sanford Stem Cell Institute and its six (6) Centers.
