Freelance Writer And Reporter For Pratt Tribune, Kiowa County Signal, And St. John NewsPratt Tribune Jun 2021 - Nov 2021Kansas, United StatesI cover stories assigned to me by Pratt Tribune editor for community-events, regional news conferences, or even entertainment and sports stories including interviewing and developing themes for stories using concise writing technique while paying careful attention to the essential features and issues that really interest people where they live. For instance I wrote a story in July 2021 that appeared in several Kansas newspapers about a ribbon-cutting event which highlighted in a positive and informative way what the new service air ambulance in Dodge City would do for residents of southwestern Kansas and even metropolitan areas outside of western Kansas. Spoke with many people and successfully held mini on-the-spot interviews of sorts which gave me insight into important aspects, while obtaining excellent photographic coverage of the event.I write articles about community events which generate positive activity about youth-driven events like 4H and county fair. Also write stories involving state interest for instance a roads news conference at Santa Fe Railroad building in Dodge City, which article appeared in Dodge City Globe and Pratt Tribune, in which I had opportunity to speak briefly with Governor Kelly who I met for the first time. I asked her about the need for more rest areas on roads being improved right now or those on schedule now for future improvements or widening which are traveled frequently by both Kansans and tourists visiting our state.I met Senator Roger Doc Marshall of Kansas while he visited Pratt for a townhall and covered the story for Pratt Tribune. I asked him about America's waning military manpower and readiness profile which makes us extremely vulnerable to renewed threats from adversarial nations.Style of writing technique which I hope inspires and makes information easier to understand and appreciate, with a hopeful side included with every story even when it involves serious matters of national, state, or local interest. -
