I just started my exciting new job at Gore. Made the move here to experience and learn to work in a unique business environment and culture. Everyone is an associate and I do not report to anyone. My work is self directed and I make my own commitments and keep them. Right now I have committed myself to work in the Medical Products Division on the Design and Automation Team. I have already started working on the equipment for two new product lines.

Starting in the Automation Group I was assigned a new process and technology development project, managing the entire production start-up including hiring and training staff to dealing with supply chain issues. Couldn't have asked for a better whirlwind project to experience the start to finish process for Medical Device launch. 1st project lasted over 2 years, collecting a number of new products along the way and transferring them all into full production. Since then, I have been designing and supporting new machines throughout our product lines, with a new challenge with each one. Recently my duties transferred to manufacturing engineering at our location, focusing on equipment. As diverse as our processes are in our plant, it's given me new opportunities to learn and develop expertise in even more technologies. My expertise ranges from tooling design, to controls integration to process capability analysis and development.

Short start as Mechanical Engineer lead to becoming Manager within a year in the PEMSERTER machine tool division. OEM for different press and installation equipment. It was everything like being a part of running a small business within the big business. Renewed a number of product lines and developed a great staff. Accomplished a lot. Made some great relationships with sales and technical support. Managed huge growth and downturn. Hated to leave some staff behind but change in business wasn't right for me. Two Patents for products that are still sold today.

Telford, Pa

As Project Manager I managed the development and integration of Bar Code Based Systems from Customer Specification to Final Installed Approval. Worked with some great staff and customers and learned a lot about managing different aspects of the project and people. As a Mechanical Engineer in the R&D department helped develop different products including printer applicators. Included with the founder of the company on two patents.

Woodbridge, Nj

First job out of school. Learned about CAD for the first time. Learned the whole logistics and distribution business from expert senior partners. The company used my background in mechanical engineering to do some design work. Learned a lot about business by meeting and presenting to clients as a fresh college graduate. Still use what I learned about what is efficient to this day. What works hasn't changed much, just the catch phrases and methods of teaching it.
