Technology Manager
Current• Maintain and upkeep more than 200 PCs and laptops for nine library branches and headquarters.• Provide first line response for users (staff and public) with IT issues and problems with hardware, software, applications.• Deliver daily technical support for email, network, connectivity, telecommunications, equipment, systems.• Established helpdesk system; respond to requests for assistance by phone, email, remotely, on-site• Track issues to resolution, update internal knowledge database, communicate findings with relevant parties.• Acquire bids for software, hardware, equipment; make technology recommendations to Library Director, Assistant Director, relevant parties; distribute, install, manage equipment.• Install, configure, update workstations/software based on library needs and requirements.• Update/maintain library’s website, including design, development, content creation, and administration using WordPress and HTML; created library’s original staff Intranet on Wordpress; update; maintain library’s custom-built staff Intranet.• Maintain inventory of library’s hardware and equipment.• Maintain technology replacement schedule; replace aged-out equipment as per schedule.• Successfully write, receive, implement, manage technology grants.• Maintain monthly statistics on website usage, patron PC usage, staff helpdesk usage; prepare monthly reports.• Plan, teach onboarding sessions on library technology to new staff.• Implemented staff training on cybersecurity, threats, phishing; employ quarterly phishing simulations with educational follow-up.• Hire, train, schedule, coach, supervise IT staff.• Successfully managed technology projects during build-out/expansion of eight new library branches and headquarters: bid, selected, supervised vendors; researched, purchased, installed data rack equipment (Ethernet/fiber), configured wireless access points; researched, purchased, installed VoIP phone system; installed, tested all PCs, printers, telephones.
