Counsellor, program coordinator and clinical supervisor of a multi-disciplinary team of up to 25 interns and qualified volunteers. Providing clinical guidance and support to the team who provide counselling services to clients impacted by alcohol and other drugs and mental health issues. Providing counselling to clients who present with a broad range of mental health disorders/issues including: schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, personality disorders, ADHD, OCD, autistic spectrum disorders, depression, anxiety, stress, psychosis and suicide ideation. Experience in delivering counselling services via telephone, online and face to face. Providing crisis intervention and case management to clients presenting with domestic violence, homelessness, and those released from incarceration. Counselling clients who present with complex trauma and concerns around relationships, grief, loss, legal, financial, and other psychosocial issues. Experienced in development and delivery of case conceptualizations, treatment planning, relapse and suicide prevention and referral to specialist service providers. Group facilitation experience including SMART Recovery and Significant Others, and development of program course material and training delivery to new intern intakes. Experienced provider of police diversion psychoeducation program to offenders. Strong connections to community networks, Correctional Services, Child Safety and other support services, as well as university placement and support personnel.

Working primarily with students in Years 9-12 by assisting at-risk and disengaged senior students with academic and emotional/social support to continue learning and complete their education, or find alternative pathways. Providing academic support cross-curricula, therefore, in all, and any subjects from Years 9-12 with a strong focus on literacy-based subjects. Liaison with teachers, Principals, VET coordinators, Guidance Officers, and other learning support teachers to ensure best outcomes for students. Supporting many students from difficult and dysfunctional backgrounds and demonstrating a proven ability to build respectful, strong and enduring relationships with the College's most challenging students. This work supports my personal mission of making a difference in the lives of others who may otherwise be dismissed or overlooked.

Counselling a highly diverse range of clients with alcohol or other drug dependencies, life/relationship issues, mental health issues, and significant life challenges. Strong experience of counselling clients who were mandated through probation and parole, child safety, or the legal system. Solid experience of counselling clients who were highly resistant, challenging, or complex. Building networks with community and medical agencies. Using evidence-based AOD approaches to counselling including: Cognitive-Behaviour Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and underpinned with a Person-Centred Therapy approach.

Supervision of Information Systems team and supporting multiple Wang VS systems, networking systems, personal computers, VS applications and system operating software/hardware. Providing/supervising helpdesk support, and overseeing all in-house information technology.

Systems operation and support for vast national and international Wang VS network covering 24 hour sites (day and night shifts). Responsibility for overnight processing and security procedures for all UK sites, ad-hoc system testing, and hardware/engineering faults. Leading the helpdesk support team to diagnose, fix, report and if necessary, escalate systems issues – both hardware and software. Highly pressured role that required fast problem-solving and decision-making skills, technical knowledge, excellent communication and customer service skills, as well as an ability to maintain a very high level of organisation.
