Currently I am active in administrative roles in the Department of Health and Aged Care in activites such as drafting Ministerial briefs and submissions, developing policies and guidelines, program and project management and undertaking background research and conducting regulatory reviews and assessments. In other roles in the Australian Public Service, I have led both technical and administrative teams in areas such as medicines regulation and the procurement and lifecycle management of national contracts for biological medicines. In a previous chapters of my career, I was fortunate to be involved in a wide range of explorations of sterile formulations, novel drug delivery and efficacy studies, process development and developing systems for transplanting living cells into patients. Working in Biotech and BioPharma industries I have worked in guiding R&D teams to effectively document, report and align efforts to meet intellectual property, clinical and manufacturing goals. Working in product development, I have sought to bridge the gap between research and manufacturing by aligning development plans to collaborate with quality, clinical and manufacturing teams and meet the organization's business goals. As a team leader, these approaches have been tied together by encouraging ongoing training, mentoring and empowerment of staff to increase their skill and commitment to goals and professional outcomes.
