Goals and objectives of this position required authoring and publishing Proof of Concept models developed by the Dell Solutions Center team. The POC’s were often times presented with stats and benchmarks per customer request. Additionally, some customers required remote connectivity along the timeline for design and custom application installation. POC’s performance measurements/benchmarking were required at different layers of the architecture and documentation in the form of white papers and wikis were published. Areas of measurement included SAN storage and VSAN performance for IOPS and latency. The end user experience was tested for duration of logins and application experience. Server performance was captured for speed ranging from a single server to multiple servers in a cluster. ● Virtualization platforms included VMware 5.5, 6.0 and 6.5.
