Cynthia Edwards (she/her) is Professor of Psychology at Meredith College in Raleigh, North Carolina, and a J.D. candidate at the Campbell University Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law. Edwards holds mentor faculty appointments at Duke University and the Center for Developmental Science at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. In addition to her primary appointment in psychology, Edwards has served as Associate Vice President of Academic Programs, Director of Undergraduate Research, Director of the Meredith Honors Program, and Department Head for Psychology and Social Work. Her academic focus is in lifespan developmental psychology, with longitudinal research on the role of social support during key young adult transitions. Edwards has expertise in authentic assessment, undergraduate research, curriculum design, department structure and transition, program development, faculty mentorship, and administrative mentorship.
