About Donna Edwards
I have worked in the IT industry for over 21 years and am more excited than ever by the opportunities to add value to society through innovation. I am a proactive advocate and role model for making the tech industry accessible and desirable for a diverse workforce and volunteer with many community groups to drive this agenda. I am passionate about helping workplaces create inclusive, empowering environments with a culture of learning as I know first hand that this creates Culture ROI - improving retention, attraction, satisfaction, innovation resulting in business growth and success.I have had a variety of roles throughout my career including as a small business owner, HR General Manager and State Delivery Manager of large technical teams - in my current role with AWS I get to work with customers and share my experience to help them succeed as well as create and deliver scale programs for women globally - living the dream!!!I am also the CEO of a startup called SHOUTOUT which is a simple recognition platform designed to help companies create great workplace culture and retain talent. I host and participate in panel events and am an international conference presenter on topics around diversity, culture & leadership - my most recent talks were at NDC Sydney 2024 and DDD Melbourne 2024.
