I wrote a weekly column on the Freedom of Information Act and public records called "FOIA Friday". I also wrote a daily "Links" column, and worked as part of the team that moderated reader comments.The daily column had two iron-clad rules: the words "Ann Arbor" in the lead paragraph, and 500 words by noon (and once I could do that regularly, 11:30 a.m.).
