Edward Brown is the Chief Operating Officer for 360T Americas, having perviously served as Head of Strategy, Regulated Platforms. Prior to that, he was the Chief Executive Officer of GTX SEF, LLC, a CFTC regulated electronic trading venue for FX derivatives. Ed was the Head of Strategic Initiatives at EBS BrokerTec, which included ICAP’s global electronic foreign exchange and fixed income trading platforms and was formerly the Executive Vice President of Business Development and Research at ICAP Electronic Broking, responsible for all research and development. In addition, Ed has actively focused on regulatory matters related to OTC derivatives. This included working with legislators, regulators, and their respective staffs with a particular emphasis on the Dodd Frank Act. Ed has more than 30 years of experience in the financial services industry and has focused on electronic systems for the capital and foreign exchange markets since 2000. Prior to joining BrokerTec in 2002 (acquired by ICAP in 2003), Ed was a product manager at Pedestal Inc., where he oversaw the design, development and deployment of its real-time fully executable platform for To-Be-Announced Mortgage-Backed Securities (TBA MBS). Earlier in his career, Ed worked at Oppenheimer & Co. where he was promoted to the role of Executive Director, heading adjustable rate mortgage trading. Ed began his financial services career in 1991 at Sanwa (USA) Securities as a mortgage trader specializing in adjustable rate Mortgage-Backed Securities (MBS). Ed earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland, in 1986. Upon his graduation, he remained in the service for five years as a Surface Warfare Officer.
