About Eddy Zhakata

Thank you for giving me a few seconds to summarise my skills and please message me if you have any questions. I was educated in Electronics Engineering Technology and that gave me a great understanding of complex equations and understanding of software programming. My thesis was focused on The Evolution of Cellphone Technologies and Networks, which dived into the physical and software aspects of our communication devices. During College I held the position of President of The Student Union which trained me in public speaking, negotiating and student support roles. Post graduation I worked as a Store Manager for Bell and The Source in PEI and Nova Scotia. Being manager put me through a lot of situations where I had to practice patience, diligence and wisdom in dealing with clients and team members. I was involved in multiple implementation projects that would span across Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island and Newfoundland. In the same time span I was able to achieve top sales for my district and achieve the honor role for the national sales award. In the time I was working as a Manager, I wanted to deal more with commercial clients and I joined Aon as a Data Analyst in Halifax. This worked out well for me as it put me into a role where I could analyse all lines of commercial insurance business and benchmark industry changes from past results and future forecasts. In 2018 I completed my Canadian Accredited Insurance Broker program which gave me a wholesome view of the Insurance industry that I was licenced to present to clients. In summary, I graduated in Engineering, attained years of experience in Management and I am certified in Commercial Insurance.
