The Owner and President of PacTec 2nd Source, Ed West has over 30 years experience in management support for the maintenance and repair of computer-controlled, electro-mechanical, photolithography and fluid/gas control systems in the semiconductor industry. He has worked in all facets of the industry; including maintenance, field service, integration, training, and technical support. His experience encompasses work on front-end systems utilizing photolithography, high vacuum and wet processing technology for manufacturing semiconductor components. He has worked internationally as well as domestically, and was responsible for opening and staffing customer support offices in Asia. PacTec 2nd Source provides spares for capital equipment used in manufacturing electronic components. Our primary focus is in support of our customer’s requirements for optical components and refurbished lasers used on semiconductor manufacturing equipment. PacTec has a wide selection of optical components used on photolithography and metrology equipment.PacTec sells parts to companies based in Asia, Europe and North America, some of which operate companies internationally. We have sales representatives located in Japan, S. Korea, Singapore, Taiwan and North America.Specialties: PacTec specializes in the replacement of optical filters in the 365.5nm and 248nm wavelengths for photolithography equipment. We work with 436nm optical filters using bk-7 or UV grade fused silica and 193nm parts using CaF2. PacTec can provide refurbished lasers for metrology and photolithography equipment. Our refurbished lasers are used for interferometry, inspection and alignment systems during the manufacturing process of semiconductor components.
