I have a PhD in Engineering with emphasis in seismic methods for shallow seismic exploration awarded by the faculty of engineering at Lund University in Sweden. As part of my PhD training, I have developed skills on geophysical methods such as GPR, Electrical Resistivity, but more specifically, in seismic prospecting methods for soil characterization and seismic site response at earthquake prone areas.I have more than 12 years of experience performing geophysical prospecting for geological/geotechnical studies for consultancy projects. I have published my research results in peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings. In addition, I have been reviewer in scientific journals of earthquake seismology and applied geophysics related topics. I have more than 10 years of experience in teaching and supervising undergraduate and master theses in various topics of applied geophysics and earthquake engineering. I describe myself as a creative, innovative, diligent and group oriented person willing to adapt to new challenges.The type of research and consultancy projects that I have worked on, are:- Ground characterization in terms of Vs velocity for construction projects.- Soil classification for seismic hazard assessment in earthquake prone areas.- Geotechnical characterization for foundation design purposes. - Depth to bedrock for foundation design purposes.- Elastic parameters estimation for landslides susceptibility evaluation.- Geotechnical Design of shallow foundations and retaining walls for static and dynamic loads. - Local site response for spectral response evaluation in earthquake prone areas.- Soil liquefaction utilizing SPT and CPT data.
