Information Security Analyst/Information Systems Security Engineer The GBS Group (Contractor for U.S. NAVY)April 2019 – PresentResponsibilities:• Apply IT security practices and principles, servicing the NSWCPD • Evaluate Navy IT systems using ACAS (Nessus/Security Center) and SCAP vulnerability tools • Using Department of Defense (DoD) repository perform latest patches for the Navy system • Perform STIG analysis to ensure compliance with DoD security controls, review threat analysis and investigate common products • Support the full RMF lifecycle for multiple domains• Develop and maintain artifacts such as System Assessment Plan, HW/SW list, Network Drawing, Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM), and Plan of Action and Milestone (POA&M).• Create policies and procedure to ensure compliance with the National Institutes of Technology (NIST 800-53) and provide security control guidance and recommendations • Utilized Alloy tool to maintain lab inventory • Maintain lab procedures, perform contingency plan exercises and conduct Change Control Board meetings • Assist with analyzing, assessing, developing, implementing, integrating, and maintaining security architecture initiatives• Perform security updates on operating systems not limited to the latest and legacy Windows, vSphere EXSi and Linux on NAVY IT systems.
