United States Army veteran and now, Texas Peace officer, for 32 years I’ve believe I have made an indelible impact in my community. My journey was multifaceted, spanning through various divisions and roles. Within the Corrections Division, I maintained order, ensuring the safety of both inmates and staff. As a Patrol Officer, I was a frontline defender, patrolling neighborhoods, responding to emergencies, and safeguarding communities. Beyond enforcement, I actively engaged with the community, organizing neighborhood watch programs, participating in events, and conducting educational workshops. As a Criminal Investigator, I pieced together evidence, interviewed witnesses, and pursued justice relentlessly. My tenure as a School Resource Officer extended beyond security; I became a mentor, confidant, and advocate for students and staff. Through workshops, educational initiatives, and genuine care, I left a lasting impact on young minds. Highly specialized training equipped me to handle crises effectively, managing emergencies, deescalating volatile situations, and providing life-saving assistance. My accolades include chief citations, unit commendations, and a life saver award. The city of Pearland celebrated my contributions with a Mayoral Proclamation, underscoring my impact on the community. My commitment to learning led me to earn a master’s degree in criminology and history, deepening my understanding of criminal justice principles and policy. Guided by honor, integrity, and respect, I’ve been a self-motivated leader who inspires others. I maintain an open mind which allows for continuing growth and learning, turning challenges into opportunities. I know my legacy extends beyond retirement—a legacy of service, mentorship, and unwavering dedication.
