CurrentAs a federal employee and an Air Traffic Organization (ATO) team member, Dr. Freire has contributed to multiple projects within the System Operations – Performance Analysis Group (AJR-G). In Dr. Freire's role as a Mathematician, he has implemented mathematical principles, methods, procedures, and techniques in developing algorithms to perform data extraction, analysis, and validation as part of his contribution to the System Events and Analysis Group (AJR-G3). Dr. Freire's contributions include but are not limited to the analysis and validation of Traffic Management Initiatives (TMI'S), Time-Based Flow Management (TBFM), Aviation System Performance Metrics (ASPM) such as flight vs. flown performance, and diversions, and Operational Coded Departure Routes (CDRs). Dr. Freire’s expertise has expanded to collaborate with the Capacity and Slot Analysis Group (AJR-G5). As a team member of the AJR-G5 group, Dr. Freire has conducted crucial analysis regarding Average Daily Capacity (ADC), National Aerospace System On-Time Arrivals (NAS On-Time) for the Core-30 Airport Operations, Airport Construction Impact Reports, and slot administration at capacity constraint airports. Dr. Freire generates, improves, contribute, and distribute reports, presentations, and business plans on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis to a broad technical and non-technical audience, which include but are not limited to analyst, administration personnel, air traffic controllers, Managers, Supervisors, Deputy Directors, and Executive personnel. Dr. Freire has been a critical team player in achieving each of the project's goals he works on.
