I have completed various contracts as the emergency management coordinator within the Emergency Management Section team at the RCMP H Division Nova Scotia, prior to this I completed an Advanced Diploma in Emergency Management at Nova Scotia Community College (NSCC) and graduated as an honours student. I was awarded a BP Canada student award. I am a highly skilled and published scientist and have recently completed my advanced postgraduate diploma with honours in Emergency Management (pre Covid). I am also certified in Incident Command System (ICS) 100, 200 and 300 as well as the ICS ECC Management and Operations. I have been successfully managing projects throughout my career working with emergency preparation, mitigation, response and recovery for each of the geological field mapping operations, as well as the necessary occupational Health and Safety protocols as this was essential for the safety of field staff and students especially in remote areas. In this post I was responsible for training, guidance and supervision of 41 detachment BCPs as well as creating training materials and coordinating of all HQ departmental BCPs. Nova Scotia Alert Ready Program: Coordination of the Alert Ready program for the RCMP H Division, ongoing training to build a program to a place where it can continue to build on its successes. After Action Reviews: The After-Action Review (AAR) process has been an important part of the alert ready program that has allowed EMS to continuously help improve the processes for H Division.
