Technical Support Engineer
CurrentTo provide technical support for both in house company members as well as externally to customers. Support can range from provision of drawings, detailed information to hands-on investigation and commissioning assistance on site as required.• Key to technical support role in developing an in-depth knowledge of turbine, generator and control equipment to assist in troubleshooting and answering customer queries.• To assist Department Manager in the development, implementation and maintenance of the technical library within the company• Ensuring that all engineering tasks are completed professionally and up to Toshiba's high standard of quality while fulfilling company compliances, Information Disclosure Policy and Information Proprietary. This includes writing and reviewing reports, preparing outage documentation and providingmanufacturing documents for the manufacturing of spare parts.• Support Department Manager and Key Account Manager for promotion related work• Prepare or review Technical Specifications, RFQ to support quotation making and other commercial document which is part of Service Business scope.• To support remaining warranty punch item clearances for power stations as per company request.• To support outages and servicing works which includes being stationed on site for extended durations for the disassembly and assembly of main turbine, boiler feed pump turbine, start up and commissioning of steam turbine, setting up of laydown preparations and wrapping up for demobilization.• To be the main contact person at site to customers and to manage reporting, work progress, quality control, safety and other technical related issues that may arise.• To be the main contact person for Toshiba Technical Advisors.• To be the main contact person for the company vendors and responsible on work progress, ensuring the availability of appropriate tools, ensuring the necessary skills related and/or quality of manpower and reporting.
