Baseband Layer 2 software design, development, testing, and technical support for Ericsson’s 5G Cloud RAN

1. Developed MATLAB reference model for NR CSI-RS generation for DSP implementation2. Worked on C-RAN LTE/5G Layer 2 protocol stack development: - Integrated ASTRI's layer 2 LTE codebase with user plane fast path acceleration tool OFP, with functional split at PDCP - Developed a basic L2 protocol stack for driving the company’s 5G NR PHY on a Linux-based C-RAN platform, with eMBB and URLLC traffic. Demoed at MWC 2018.- Implemented PDCP/X2-UP for LTE and NR Dual Connectivity for 5G NSA deployment.

Participated in research projects related to service and network analytics for Samsung's LTE platform:-Defined technical requirements, designed, validated, and tested several different technical features of Samsung Analytics platform for RF and network optimization, including analyzing and visualizing uplink interference, RF quality of antenna paths, RF coverage holes, weak RF coverage, RF heat map, among others. - Designed a number of analysis rules for dropped LTE calls for root-cause-analysis based on eNB call logs, as well as a graphic visualizer of LTE call procedures from eNBs and MME call logs. - R&D work on real-time measurement of the Quality of Experience for video over HTTP (HTTP Live Streaming and Progressive Download) and web traffic in LTE networks, along with air resource allocation, and congestion detection: Set up a testbed for proof of concept, consisting of LTE eNB, UEs, IP connectivity, and video and analysis servers on Linux. Collected network traces of several live and VoD IPTV video services over LTE (Netflix, YouTube, among others) and analyzed them at TCP/IP and application layers to define QoE KPIs and measurement procedures, as well as performed accuracy validation. Demoed at MWC 2015.
