I’ve built my career in healthcare IT because I believe in the power of effective healthcare.As both a patient and provider, I’ve seen the difference between smooth, good healthcare and poor, slow healthcare. Bad processes and inefficient and incorrect communication can add unbelievable amounts of stress to a patient and his or her family in a time when they need as little stress as possible.Since I was 20 years old, I’ve been part of the healthcare industry, doing everything I can to enhance the patient experience. After starting my career as a rehab tech, I worked my way up through several billing, training, and analyst positions to my current position of Senior Capacity Management Systems Analyst for AdventHealth.Through managing large-scale, multi-facility capacity management rollouts and optimizing hospital operations and data system performance, I’m working every day to improve the workflow and processes of patient care, so patients can receive the best and smoothest experience during their visit.Everything has a solution – that’s how I think. When something doesn't work, I want to fix it, and that is why I do what I do. I want to create the best experience for a patient when they are in the hospital. Seeing that happen gives me a great sense of joy and fulfillment.
