As a consultant for Nexus Solar I meet with prospects to find out if a solar panel system for their home made sense. In that role I helped numerous families go green and protect themselves from future increase in utility expenses. I loved being an independent consultant. When the company changed their business model to use only full time employees I decided it was time to move on. However, before I left I got a solar system for our home which is performing flawlessly and reduced our dependence on the utility company. I now represent a new Solar Company.

I have always had a passion for helping others to achieve more fulfilling lives. Being able to communicate clearly and confidently is a critical skill towards this achievement. Through my Communications and Leadership journey in Toastmasters International I have learned the fundamental principles of these skills and demonstrated using them successfully in many areas of my life. As a trainer and coach I now help others to improve their communication and leadership skills.After moving up the leadership ranks starting in 2003, I was District Governor from 2006-2007. One of my greatest satisfactions was to lead our District to earn the title of a Distinguished District in Toastmasters International.

Display Optical Systems Engineer: Designing Flat Panel Display Systems for military aircraft was one of my most challenging and enjoyable pursuits. The process involved pulling together numerous disciplines in the areas of optical, electrical, mechanical, human factors, reliability and budgeting to create instruments pilots used to navigate their aircraft in all kinds of environmental conditions. I had the privilege of collaborating with companies in the US, Europe and Asia. It was fun traveling and meeting people in other countries and developing harmonious working relationships. I am proud that many projects I worked on are operational successfully today.In the field of displays I wrote numerous papers and am the sole author of two patents. As Chairman of the Los Angeles Chapter of the Society of Information Displays we ran several local symposium on displays including one on virtual reality.

Teledyne pioneered the use of novel display and lighting technologies using Light Emitting Diodes. As an engineer I teamed up with William Kennedy in Marketing, who is currently General Manager of Toyoda Gosei US to create a powerhouse display department.
