As a technology enthusiast, I have been experimenting with different new technologies to automate the design and drafting stages of architectural projects. That is why I founded ConfigLab, which has as its objective to improve the design and commercial planning process to save the inordinate amount of time and money that is invested into developing drawings for potential clients.The two main technologies that I have explored are SketchFab and ShapeDiver. SketchFab is a great tool for static models that need a super realistic rendering. However, ShapeDiver is the king when it comes to creating parametrical designs and 3D models that can be changed in infinite ways to experiment with geometry and space by using simple menus. Additionally, ShapeDiver can hold and produce data that can be used for creating automated pricing, material lists, 2D drawings, and more.As a huge believer in ShapeDiver as the tool that will let me achieve my goal, I am now part of the ShapeDiver team as a Parametric Modelling Expert.
