BP had a centrally managed Asset Team which was responsible for project managing all investments on behalf of the various BP divisions. The project Asset Team held an annual budget for each BP division. As a project Accountant in the asset team, it was my responsibility to account for all the projects in each division and prepare reports on the progress of the budgeted projects and Capex spend.
