Encryption software used includes PGP WDE (Whole Disk Encryption), Microsoft Bitlocker, TrueCrypt and File Vault on Apple OS X; Review documentation and attended "knowledge transfer" sessions for Symantec Management Platform and Altiris Deployment Solution to learn about the new systems management product for deployment; Also explored options on complementing technologies and products for software auditing & patch management, such as the Secunia Corporate & Personal Software Inspector products (CSI & PSI); Researched on data back-up solutions for client computer systems as part of Departmental contingency planning, products range from freeware such as SyncBack and Abakt, to corporate-level solutions like IBM's Tivoli CDP; Worked on a "sandbox" domain environment (Windows Server 2003 Active Directory), specifically for testing Windows Server backup/redundancy solutions and client virtualization; Develop and document resolutions to reported user issues, including research sources and follow-up; Provide personal assistance and explaining technical issues to users through face-to-face interaction and instruction; Worked on two simultaneous "live" webinar sessions for ElectroScience Lab faculty over 3 days, handling A/V streaming, live chat sessions (with student helpers), and ensuring smooth operation of all computing equipment.
