Pwnie Express is a venture-backed software company in the security space. The company delivers a sensor enabled, cloud-based service providing customers with visibility and threat detection in and around their wired and wireless networks. The service offering provides customers with visibility into threats that they otherwise would not be able to detect, through an Apple-simple, cost-effective deployment process delivering immediate results.In my role, I am responsible for Product Management, Engineering, and Technical Operations. In the span of my tenure we have been successful at:· Pivoting the company from a HW sales model to a Subscription model while building a cloud based multi-award winning product for innovation in the security space· Building the Engineering organization from 3 developers to a team of 17 with little attrition in a highly competitive market· Building a scalable cloud platform all the way from Alpha to currently supporting over 100 customers through a flexible multi-tenant architecture leveraging a micro-services pattern and Open Source tools deployed at AWS. The technology stack includes the use of Ruby, Java, Nginx, Docker, ElasticSearch, RabbitMQ, Postgres, Spark, among other components.· Improving the quality of the sensor and cloud platforms through automation and Enterprise grade best practices including continuous integration and immutable deployments.· Implementing an Agile development process to optimize responses to the dynamic customer environment· Partnering with the CEO to raise a Series B $13MM round
