Managed Switch and Field Operations of the wireless network for the Virginia Market, acting as the technical lead / 24x7 support for all new deployments, major network upgrades, and outages. Proposed, scheduled and assigned switch projects and made sure that any timelines set forth for the projects were met.• Overcame a 20% workforce reduction by implementing dual function technicians that performed both Switch and Field Operations.• Effectively prioritized and managed overtime for the team that resulted in OPEX better than budgeted for two consecutive years.• Maintained a Network Availability of 99.9% or better by improving the processes for tracking, troubleshooting, and escalating any outages associated with the network.• Successfully worked and interfaced with other departments to launch a new technology one month earlier than targeted.• Ensured that all team members comply with company policies and procedures, which resulted in “0” workplace incidents.

Performed Network coverage and capacity planning for the Virginia Market. Participated in development, testing, and validation of RF feature plan proposals. Monitored and reviewed Voice and Data KPIs, diagnosed BTS hardware, interference, data throughput, coverage, and transmission path performance issues, and developed action plan for resolution; Provided engineering support to Sales / Customers by responding to customer and employee complaints. Advised management on tactical and strategic issues. Evaluated capacity requirements of radio network and worked with other departments to meet growth needs.• Reduced the use of new radio resources by 25% by successfully identifying sectors were radios could be reallocated to higher demand areas.• Commended for successfully maintaining a quality and constant support to sales team and customers.

Provided RAN and switch support to T-Mobile in the VA market; prepared and executed large re-homes of cells/RBS using WinFIOL/OSS; detection, analysis and correction of Ericsson BSC faults, and documentation of such faults using Remedy and Homer ticketing systems; Integration of new cells into the Ericsson BSC and Alcatel MGW; definition of E911 routing into the MGW; definition of new inter-carrier routes into the MGW; detection and correction of transport-related faults, tracing circuit connections using the Granite system; 24/7 on-call rotation.

Subcontracted by Ericsson Brazil to provide BSS support to a company making the transition to Ericsson from TDMA to GSM by coaching their staff in the use of O&M tools, i.e. OMT (Operation and Maintenance Terminal), WinFIOL, OSS.

Operation and Maintenance of Ericsson RBS; detection, analysis and correction of RBS faults using OMT; replacement of RBS components, such as TRU (Transceiver Unit), CDU (Combining and Distribution Unit), etc.; Operation and maintenance of MW links (PDH and SDH); Operation and Maintenance of Ericsson BSC; detection, analysis and correction of BSC faults using WinFIOL; define and put in service new cells and RBS into the BSC using WinFIOL and/or Ericsson OSS; re-homing of cells/RBS between BSCs using WinFIOL and/or OSS; implementation of cell parameter changes; definition/modification of cell’s neighbors relations; traffic analysis for HW dimensioning; 24/7 on-call rotation.
