Edwin Tazelaar received his masters degree and PhD degree from the Eindhoven University of Technology in 1992 and 2013 respectively. He worked in the fields of control systems, hydrogen technology, solar energy and high power semiconductors at KEMA and Philips Semiconductors. In 2001 he joined the HAN University of Applied Sciences as senior researcher on energy management and fuel cell based propulsion systems, and as manager of the master program Control Systems Engineering. He continued as senior asset data analyst at the Dutch DSO Alliander with a focus on aging models for high voltage assets and on hydrogen as energy carrier.In 2018 he co-founded HyMatters BV, a company dedicated to contribute to a 100% sustainable energy system by exploiting all possibilities of hydrogen as sustainable energy carrier.
