Edwin Wong is the PwC China North Region Tax Leader and is also the China Outbound Investment Services Lead Partner and China International Tax Services Lead Partner.Edwin has over 20 years of overseas working experience in audit and tax services. Prior to joining the Beijing office of PwC China, he previously worked in the PwC firms of Hong Kong and Canada. Edwin has extensive experience in advising clients on local and international tax planning, cross border reorganisation structuring, designing of holding company structure, tax and financing structuring as well as merger and acquisition transactions. He also has extensive experience in helping clients set up and implement tax efficient operating structures.Edwin has set up and led the International Tax Services team since 2004 after joining the Beijing Office. He specialises in advising clients on the tax and operation structuring of their overseas investment as well as overseas group reorganisation and overseas financing transactions. Edwin has been heavily involved in the structuring of several prominent transactions for Chinese clients investing overseas. His clients operate in various industries including: automotive, energy and mining, construction, transportation, technology, financial services and real estate.Edwin is a member of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants, Fellow members of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He was also a council member of the Taxation Institute of Hong Kong.
