In this role I am responsible for the financials (MT member) of ‘Oogziekenhuis Zonnestraal’: a 45 mio turnover private equity owned healthcare clinic. It is the leading brand in medical eye care in The Netherlands (9 hospitals).Main achievements and responsibilities:· Manager Operations a.i. 07/2017 - 12/2017 · Bottom line improvement +50% through KPI focus, providing continuous insight in performance, and cost savings (1 mio).· Building a reliable and high performing business control department through simplifying processes (this led to a saving of 2 fte).· Development and implementation of a solid planning and control cycle.· Prepare and advise go/no go for business cases and investment proposals incl risk management for biggest assets (additional hospital locations, new surgery rooms).· Strategy development: Long term plan, task-shifting, tactical planning, resource allocation.· Project leadership: Working capital management, ERP data conversion, healthcare insurance tenders, , acquisitions and divestments, internal control.

Assistant Controller Pon Equipment Norway, Norway (3rd project)I was relocated to Oslo for this project. My main responsibilities involved the month-end closing and the budget / forecasting process, Reporting to the Finance director of Pon Equipment Norway.Also, I initiated several projects to improve processes e.g.: - Restructuring of the budgeting and forecasting models,- Implemented an installed base management tool,- Periodic training sessions with the controlling and accounting team in order to improve their skills.Project manager Pon's Automobielhandel, The Netherlands (2nd project)I was asked to develop a marketing spent analysis tool to give insight in the marketing costs across the different brands (Audi, Volkswagen, Porsche, Skoda, Seat). In cooperation with the marketing managers I created a uniform accounting standard for marketing costs, directly linking to key performance indicators.Team member ERP Pon Equipment & Pon Power systems, The Netherlands (1st project)Team member of the finance team responsible for the implementation of a new ERP system (Lawson M3) across thirteen operating companies. In my role I was responsible for aligning the opco's requirements with the system’s capabilities (general ledger, creditors, debtors). As a intern I supported the M&A director on several (international) M&A projects. I learned all about different stages of a M&A deal, both from a legal and a financial perspective. I build a practical model to calculate WACC depending on the risk related to the individual transaction.
