Global Vehicle Engineering and Operations, Leadership team: Sept 2017- Nov 2018• Chief of Staff to SVP of Vehicle Engineering during the critical launch and ramp of the Model 3, operated as force multiplier for the SVP & the executive leaders.• Accelerating and enabling strategic initiatives across the company, inclusive of orchestrating cross functional projects – such as organizing scrum teams for general assembly ramp, standardizing the product development process for design engineering, and instituting a fleet management process for press cars.• Working as an extension to the vehicle programs team to coordinate technical deliverables, identifying and resolving top risks to the programs, and facilitating quick decision making from the leadership team. Vehicle Engineering - Seats: March-July 2017, Programs July 2017-Sept 2017• Created, owned, and executed the product development plan for the Model 3 seat program, starting with studio design and surface release though supplier sourcing, tooling, and manufacturing launch.• Spearheaded and led the manufacturing pilot line in the seats factory to build over 800 development seats for validation and crash testing, resulting in 300 issues being identified and resolved prior to full production launch of the Model 3 program.• Assumed ownership of and successfully delivered the Model X 60/40 Bench seat program on an aggressive 12 month schedule, inclusive of studio release, supplier sourcing and bring up of new manufacturing line.

Engineering Program Manager for Vehicle Engineering - Interiors and Exteriors, Seats• Owned and delivered cross functional programs for Model X 2nd Row Bench Seat and Model 3 1st and 2nd Row Seats.• Collaborated with the design studio and engineering teams to devise a flexible surface modeling schedule, and ensured key decisions were informed and made quickly to enable execution without compromising design.• Negotiated and closely managed timelines for critical path suppliers that resulted in 20% reduction in lead time from supplier sourcing to production launch.• Created issue management process and rolled out engineering change control for seat development

In this role, I am responsible for the full cross functional delivery of my projects. I lead a cross functional project management team with representatives from all aspects of the organizations: Group Truck Sales and Marketing, Operations, Engineering R&D, Product Design Purchasing, Product Planning, Aftermarket, Quality, and Finance. My current team consists of diverse group of 18 project managers, with members from the US, France, Brazil, Sweden, Indonesia, and India. We are working on a large truck product project, from the idea creation to implementation in the factory and sales to the customers.

- Leading a technical team of engineers and engineering managers within 3 large projects by developing and managing time lines, facilitating cross functional communication, creating and maintaining the project budget, and addressing obstacles and establishing direction.- Executing preliminary project studies for critical projects, utilizing the company development process to develop an initial time plan, budget, scope, feasibility and technical direction.- Interacting as the cross functional technical lead within the project management teams and demonstrating technical competence in communicating on all levels of the company.- Direct project leaders and team members, while jointly managing large test build fleets, and coordinating all product development resources to deliver on reduced lead time, high profile projects.- Championing process development and change management for a new way of implementing small projects on cross functional level.

- Drove all deliveries from the Chassis Vehicle Dynamics commodity for multiple projects and tasks, creating accountability within the groups for the commitments made to stakeholders.- Forecasted and maintained the commodity budget and financials for the specific projects, including time estimation and follow up.- Acted in conjunction with responsible engineers to develop solutions to the project requirements, and provided educated decisions for project obstacles.

Developed new rear suspension components and documentation solutions for small and large scale projects. Managed the groups’ cost and weight projects, as well as quality resolution items.Participated in the Volvo Group International Graduate Program, which was designed to build leadership skills while introducing the participants to international work teams through training, projects, and experience.Led a global located and diverse team to the successful delivery of the Global Benchmarking Process project as the program Project Manager.
