FounderHandle With Care Mar 2007 - Sep 2011I started a foundation, Handle With Care, so that my fellow residents/fellows could raise money yearly for a worthy HIV organization. In 2008, we raised over $33,000 for the IU-Kenya Partnership Foundation, which runs 19 HIV+ clinics as well as social services for their patients in Western Kenya. In 2009, we are raising money for LA Christian Health Centers (formerly LA Mission Community Clinic), a Skid Row clinic that has recently expanded its services to provide testing and treatment for HIV+ people.
