Escent Group started out as the parent company of Cargoweb, an online logistics portal/marketplace, when we acquired that by means of an MBO. We developed (consulting) services and products for online media and have been working on that with succes in several branches: Logistics, financial services, marketing of places. Escent and Cargoweb were sold to a Dutch ICT company called Conplacer.

Cargoweb started as an idea for a client (Port of Rotterdam). Due to unexpected success it became independent and we (founders/management) bought the company in 1997. We sold it to a Dutch ICT company that after a short period discontinued it's operations.
