Als associé van D&A Medical Group ondersteun ik klanten bij selectie- en implementatie-trajecten van ICT in de zorgsector. Deze ondersteuning kan bestaan uit het geven van advies, maar ook uit projectmanagement. Door middel van intensieve samenwerking met zorgverleners de gezondheidszorg helpen hun informatiseringdoelstellingen te verwezenlijken en succesvol te laten zijn, dat is mijn passie.

My roles and responsibilities as a Healthcare IT specialist at the UMC Utrecht hospital:• Provide advice and guidance on a wide range and variety of complex Healthcare IT issues.• Interpret and implement IT policies, standards, and guidelines such as ISO/IEC 80001-1, NEN7510 etcetera.• Conduct risk analyses and recommend resolution of complex issues affecting IT-networks incorporating medical devices.• Evaluate proposals for the acquisition or Healthcare IT products or services.• Test and optimize the functionality of medical systems, networks and data.• Identify and define business or technical requirements applied to the design, development, implementation, management, and support of systems and networks.• Prepare and present reports for research and management information systems.• Represent our organization and department (Medical Technology) in interactions with other organizations.• Provide technical- and project leadership on implementation projects such as PACS II.

Besides being a software engineer I am responsible for one of our software products, an intelligent web form solution (Quinity Forms Solution). My main tasks consist of; establishing a marketing strategy for Quinity Forms Solution, evaluate market conditions, competitor data and implement marketing plan additions or changes.

At Quinity we develop large complex IT solutions for banking- and insurancy companies. I have experience with the following technologies:• Java 2 Enterprise Edition (J2EE)• Apache Axis SOAP Webservices• Apache FOP (Formatting Objects Processor)• Apache Tomcat 5 application server• Oracle Database 10g Release 2• IBM WebSphere Studio Application Developer / Eclipse• Apache Jmeter (performance testing)

The masters research thesis I wrote was about 'Structured Reporting for Clinical Applications'. It involved exploring current best practices in this field and developing an XML based implementation for a radiology application. Philips Medical Systems rewarded my thesis with an A.
