I operate at the boundary of technical and commercial disciplines. I am responsible for projects within the MeeMaken group of companies that have an entrepreneurial, innovative and high-stake character. I am involved in challenges related to new investments, due diligence projects and the exploration of new markets and products.

Board member with overall responsibility for:- Safety, Health and Environment: achieved zero incidents zero accidents- Operations: offshore projects such as Shell Malampaya project- Engineering / R&D: development of several sophisticated motion compensation systems such as the T40 for NAM and Wagenborg and the Motion Compensated Gangway for Vroon Offshore. - Supervising the technical and operational teams executing the projects - Legal: setting up and negotiating procurement and sales contracts, Intellectual property management, insurances- Technical sales: achieved sales of several new motion compensation systems from paper. Spent approximately 30-50% of my time on business development and sales.- Quality: obtained ISO9001:2008 certification of the company as well as Technology Qualification of the Barge Master T40 by both Shell and Statoil. General:- Marketing: attending multiple conferences/exhibitions annually, presenting or taking part in panel sessions as well as welcoming clients in our booths. OTC Houston, OE Amsterdam, EWEA, OSJ Londen to name a few. - HR: responsible for expanding the team as well as policy development, evaluations etc. - Finance: together with CEO successfully executed the process of finding an additional major investor for the company (Private Equity)

Responsible for further developing the Barge Master T700 system:- Overall Project Manager- setting up a new certification method for these type of systems with Lloyds Register and obtaining the valued certificate- detailed design of hydraulic system, control system and mechanical structures- selection of subcontractors and negotiating contracts- supervision of subcontractors and coaching team members in subcontractor management- setting up test and inspection plans for quality assurance- offshore testing of the T700 including managing all mobilization works and marine operations in collaboration with GeoSea/DEMEGeneral:- presenting Barge Master as a company and as a product at international conferences, exhibitions and directly to potential clients.- heavily involved in sales and obtaining first contracts- expanding the team by selecting new team members and setting up the organization- developing a way-of-working with high quality standards inside the growing company- applying for patents

Responsible for concept development of first Barge Master system: the T700. This included setting up the basis if design, concept design as well as scale model testing at MARIN.

Starting the Barge Master project within TWD- developing concepts and basis of design- obtaining first funding via investors, banks and subsidies- supporting the setup of the Business Plan- setting up the companies (Barge Master) development planningAlso worked on a number of TWD projects:- design of the Ormonde piling frame for GeoSea - support structure for Rijksmuseum Amsterdam- replacement of an offshore helideck for Total, my alternative repair advice saved them >500kE.

Researcher in the field of BioMechanics. Working on growing a biological joint replacement in the human body using mechanical stimulation of stem cells. Research funded by the EU named: MyJoint. Organized a number of international meetings, executed experiments, obtained a patend and published papers on this ground braking topic.
