I'm a mid-career attorney with broad interests, but focussed on the intersection between finance, digital trends, privacy and security. My experience has been largely complex litigation for variety of clients, including supporting state litigation, shareholder derivative suits, construction, and agricultural. I have also developed and negotiated large value contracts, counseled small business in the sale and acquisition of assets. My legal happy place is solving intractable problems. I'm adept at the basics, research and drafting, and can identify and organize difficult datasets. I'm currently researching the issues of emerging data privacy protection regimes, such as CPRA/CPPA and NYPA, as well international regimes such as EU's GDPR, and their impact for business dealing in financial products and services, especially alternative assets or asset classes that have yet to be fully identified or explored.My ideal position is supporting business development and operations through research, counsel, compliance, and strategy.
