As a Production Supervisor at HKScan Oyj, I played a pivotal role in overseeing the operational dynamics of the Eura factory's HK-branded production. During the summer, I stepped into the shoes of a Production Manager, managing a team of approximately 15 direct reports.In this fast-paced production environment, I led the packaging of diverse poultry products and oat pasta in separate production areas. My responsibilities encompassed a wide range of tasks, including shift planning, monitoring and logging work hours, ensuring a fair and balanced work rotation, addressing safety and hygiene matters, production planning, and prioritizing critical products in case of unexpected challenges.One of the defining aspects of my role was the constant need for creative problem-solving. Almost on a daily basis, I navigated through challenges that could be highly intricate and demanding. These problem-solving experiences not only sharpened my analytical skills but also enhanced my ability to make well-informed decisions under pressure.Collaboration was key in my role, as I worked closely with recruitment teams, product development, maintenance, and quality assurance. I actively contributed to recruitment processes, ensuring a seamless onboarding experience for new team members. Additionally, I collaborated with the product development team to align production processes with innovative product launches.Efficiency and optimization were at the forefront of my approach.
