I manage a teacher professional development program focused on sustainability and place-based education. I recruit teacher fellows, manage programmatic partnerships, provide instruction and resources on developing sustainability-related curricula, and evaluate and report on program progress. To date, this program has served 65 teachers in 33 schools across 6 counties in the Great Lakes Bay Region of Michigan.I also pilot other sustainability projects in this role, including a Youth Sustainability Leadership Council for high school youth, and a 1-credit course on Education for Sustainability for U-M graduate students.
