• Identifying the Rubisco protein particles within a carboxysome and detecting the boundary using k-means clustering (Machine Learning Image Detection), furthering Professor Metskas’ postdoctoral project to decrease the false negative and false positive rates. • Calculating the boundary of the carboxysome using classification to further the biophysical analyses of carboxysomes. • As the longest standing member, I present lab materials to rotational PhD students for student recruitment and retention.

• Implemented a topology generator tool and investigated its applications in general development. This tool not only allows for uONOS to receive network topologies, but to also provide attribute information for other applications (WCMP).

• Developed gNMI support (port statistics) in a novel application area within an open-source network controller (ONOS), allowing multiple networking channels for ports (P4RT, gNMI). This authorized communication with switches for various types of protocols.

• Built an application that allows the parents of children with conditions such as Autism to post, get resources, message one another, and build a community. This utilizes chatbots to guide parents towards links and contact information for various outside help.• Used Angular (Ionic Framework), HTML, and Firebase functions.• Worked with Google Digital Assistants.

• Programmed data analysis algorithms using MatLab to determine if humans have the capacity to extract the average emotion and ethnicity rapidly from a crowd of faces. The faces displayed were randomly chosen from 21,609 photos with 147 different ethnicities x 147 emotions.• Prepared a research paper documenting the results “Rapid Ensemble Extraction of Mean Emotion and Ethnicity from Sets of Face Images”.
