The Centre of Historic Houses was founded by Dr. Esther Schmidt and is a part of the School of Art and Architecture at O.P. Jindal Global University. It mainly focusses on interdisciplinary research, advocacy and facilitation of exchange of knowledge between academics, owners of historic houses, museums and heritage professionals to create visibility for endangered historical buildings, their conservation and management.As part of their internship program, I analysed historical records on Indian palaces and porcelain rooms and created chronologies and bibliographies to be used as research material for Prof. Esther Schmidt’s on-going research on historic interiors.I also coordinated with potential speakers, academics and organisations to participate in the Centre’s lecture series as part of the Centre's outreach and networking initiatives and collaborated with other interns to create and strategize content for the Centre’s social media pages.

United Religions Initiative(URI) is a global grassroots interfaith network with many local and global initiatives carried out by their member cooperation circles. Their work focusses on conflict resolution, environmental sustainability, women's and youth issues and human rights advocacy. I was a part of their North Zone- India and Afghanistan circle. I edited and revised articles for the organisation blog- Khwaeesh and coordinated with the Chief Editor to manage articles in the editors database, carry out plagiarism checks and source images for the same.

O.P. Jindal Global University

Conducted research under Prof. Laurence Gautier for her work to be published by Cambridge University Press under the tentative title ‘Between Nation and Community. Muslim Universities and Indian Politics after Partition’.I generated quantitative data from Censuses and University directories to analyse larger social, economic and migration trends of Muslim students from the Partition up till the 1960s and 1970s.I also participated in group meetings with other interns to discuss our progress as well as weave out general trends from the dataset to further aid Prof. Gautier's research.

O.P. Jindal Global University

Developed the Jindal Global University Pandemic Archive with a team of professors and other interns.I conducted interviews with students and faculty to record their experience during COVID-19 Lockdown and collected newspaper articles and studies on global socio-economic changes during the Pandemic.

Conducted oral history interviews of Partition survivors for Museum’s collection and archive. I also undertook field research about Post-Partition migration in neighbourhoods of Delhi, collecting information on the experience of Partition survivors and their descendants in terms of occupying space within the city. I worked with other interns in my team to create new questionnaires for second-generation Partition survivors to understand Post-Partition memory and historical trauma. The internship entailed carrying out in-depth research on Partition, collating academic and popular literature and art on the same and focussing on recording lesser known Partition narratives from marginalised communities.
