Commercializing cool technology. That's what gets me out of bed in the morning. Most recently, as a Venture Capitalist, I've had the opportunity to work on transactions ranging from the earliest pre-Seed lab-scale technologies, all the way through to multi-billion dollar IPOs and exits. I've previously started, scaled & sold high-tech companies, provided tech due diligence services to TTOs & VC funds, and assisted Governments and SMEs in developing & implementing Open Innovation Frameworks. In a former life, my research looked at ways to extract maximum value out of IP, through a process of validation and ideation. As a case-study, my research developed applications based on the amazing nanomaterial, graphene. I've developed IP, publications and prototype products in a range of areas including infrared sensing, electrochromic glass and flexible touch-screens.
