In my role as VP for Public Affair I have led the cultural change for Kesko to become a audible voice in Finnish Society. Kesko ́s PA work stems from K ́s unique position as a retailer business-model company; present in the every-day life of millions of people. PA ́s role has been to facilitate and roadmap division specific PA action plans of lobbying, stakeholder relations and communications. In the parliamentary election year 2019 K took a clear stance on supporting the democratic process: campaigning and early voting at K-stores, as well as lobbying it ́s causes. https://www.kesko.fi/yhteiskuntasuhteet/ Parallel to my PA role, I have been responsible for Kesko ́s sustainability work ́s strategic development, as the two functions are strategically intertwined. Kesko ́s first sustainability strategy was drawn up 2018. My main responsibility was leading the preparatory work for the Ministerial Group of Wellbeing and Equality and co-ordination of the political decision-making and legislation execution process between other ministries, other parties, parliamentary groups and other stakeholders, both domestic and foreign. Main responsabilities entailed the execution of a public sector austerity program, including many high-profile and sensitive legislation revisions as that of the the disabled act and elderly care, the Gender Equality Program 2015-2019 and an historic official State apology to those having suffered maltreatment in foster care 1937-1983.

My responsibilities entailed coherent responsibility of the planning and coordination of the associations’ social and public policy lobbying and execution regarding labor force and education policy targets.

The Development Policy Committee is a government appointed advisory body for Finland ́s development policy. It ́s members represent political parties, the academia and other stakeholders.
