Create installation design documentation including storage array hardware, capacity, port layout, and WWN information. Assist with client zoning, masking, alias creation for front end adapters of HES class arrays to client SAN and HBAs. Post-installation knowledge transfer sessions to review licensing, replication, Solutions Enabler, and Unipshere administration with client storage/SAN admins.Design and implement migration methodologies: host grab analysis, validation of supported OS, multipathing software, HBAs, and microcode on target storage arrays. Primary experience executing migrations via SRDF, Open Replicator, and NDM (Non-Disruptive Migration) between VMAX and PowerMax storage arrays.Coordinate, design, validate hardware/software upgrades and implementations between local FSEs, remote change management resources, and client end-users.Advise and implement disaster recovery solutions over via FC or IP with SRDF - SRDF/S, SRDF/A, SRDF/Metro.

Provide software related custom integration and implementation support of EMC products at customer sites involving unique environments and configurations; this may include pre-site inspection, initial installation, troubleshooting, implementation, customization, integration, and product orientation for the customer. Perform basic to moderately complex and/or extended-stay software implementations. Implementation functions may include; configuring network interfaces, configuring file systems, configuring IP/FC/iSCSI Host Base Adapters (HBAs), running scripts, zoning and masking, installing and upgrading software/code, testing/validating final product solution and developing appropriate customer configuration guides.Install or upgrade EMC software and hardware products in an Open Systems environment. Installation functions include: technical planning, design review including providing feedback on solution, the creation of implementation configuration files, running/storing cable, defining and applying hardware/software settings and setting up remote support.Demonstrate system capabilities, review software operation and management tools, and provide information to customer concerning the operation and use of EMC products. Maintain awareness of existing or potential customer software/hardware and machine situations.

Provide one-to-one (or one-to-many) assistance/tutoring to students in need of help with a variety of software programs or available technologies. Contribute to maintain stable computer systems for patrons. Total of 24 computers available; 7 Apple G5s, 13 iMACs, and 4 PCs. Basic troubleshooting with HP and Lexmark laser printers. Responsible for providing customer support in person and over the phone. Daily tasks ranged from diagnosing software and (or) hardware problems with personal computers, building new computer systems, delivering those systems, assisting customers with sales in the store, and answering phones. During my tenure I had the privilege of troubleshooting problems in Win95 (all versions), Win98SE, WinME, Win2000, and both versions of WinXP. Numerous software and hardware issues were encountered and resolved: retrieving data from damaged hard disc drives, formatting and reinstalling Windows, replacing peripherals, and virtually endless software problems; but most issues were related to spyware and viruses.
