- Identify the current system limitations, formulate quick fix (technically and/or in SOP) and plan the future expansion for bigger traffic and more transaction in the site.- Grow the local IT team, and gradually reduce and eventually stop the system development using third party contractors.- To lead the technical team to stabilize, to scale and to develop the systems that consists of Ecommerce & ERP.- To manage the daily operations that supporting the whole operations of the company, which includes supporting the flow of sales and purchase orders from one to another system; providing quick fixes to any failure in the systems; and monitoring to detect anomalies.- To establish good development environment for the technical team.

This responsibility includes the operating system configuration; network and the firewall setup; & the database setup, administration & data replication.◦ To help on the development aspect of the system, by giving advise on the design, deployments (and it's planning), troubleshooting, and including to create/find tools to help tospeed up the development cycle.◦ Capacity planning for budgeting and expansion plan.◦ To help the group to expand the business to a different countries within the asia region, by deploying the new sites (sister site) and by giving technical advise to the group and to the local technical team abroad.◦ Acting as the regional System Administrator, to give advise and support to sister site within the same group.◦ Setup, testing & deploy new technologies that may help the site to be more competitive (site redudancy, cdn, monitoring, image caching, etc).

- In part of a global team of UNIX administrators to administrate 1200 servers worldwide consist of Linux (mostly RHEL 4 & SLES 8.1), HP-UX (11.00, 11.11, 11.23 & 11.31), and Solaris; production, recovery, and test.- Level 3 UNIX technical supports, liaise with vendor, application specialist or developer to solve problem raised by either system alert (incident management) or lower level technical support (problem management).- Involved in efforts to standardize environment across UNIX platform to increase simplicity (ex. ssh, kerberos, sudo, Bladelogic, etc.), security audit remediation, sudo standardization, server migration to VMWare environment, data consolidations (liaise with the team manager), etc.- Create from scratch or maintain available administrative script in bash, Perl or Bladelogic script (nsh).- Leads effort of; Linux Server Inventory, Linux IP address automation for DMZ, and Linux Work instruction and Standard Operation Procedure refresh and creation.

- In part of a team of UNIX Administrators to administrate more than 800 UNIX servers worldwide, consist of HP-UX, Linux & Sun Solaris servers.- Coordinate closely with users, deep technical support, vendor/manufacturers and other team to resolve problems that comes from system alerts (incident management) or ticketing system (problem management).- Works within Service Level Agreements (SLA), corporate Work Instruction & Standard Operation Procedure (WI & SOP) provided by the company.- Minimum downtime, security oriented, and works fast & efficient within procedures & policy corridor.

- Administrate intranet & internet corporate servers (HP-UX, Linux & Windows), to ensure its maximal availability & security.- Third level user support, to solve any problem submitted by help desk (first level user support).- Involved with several application upgrades, liaise with vendor and database administrator to do the setup, monitoring and tuning for Oracle 8i & 9i on the Operating System side.- Assigned additional role to administrate network & data communication for the last 9 months, which covers 5 coal pit, 3 heavy-equipment workshop, and 7 main office building.- Supervise user data file backups by backup operator, and take any action needed to achieve maximal availability.- Supervise contractor’s works related with servers & networks, to enforce IT policy & standards.

- Liaise with client to ensure the Linux-based product works smoothly.- Liaise with the client to develop additional feature needed.

- Conduct Linux training from basic level (Linux Fundamental & Linux Fundamental for NT Professional) to advanced level (Linux System Administrator & Linux Network Administrator) and special class (Linux Firewalls, Linux Mail server & etc).- Liaise with company's Account Managers to provide technical knowledge to prospects (pre-sales), and to follow-up any technical queries from clients or prospects (after-sales).- Design to fit the organisation, engineering & delivers Linux-based solutions to clients.

- Maintain local & remote servers running Red Hat Linux, Slackware Linux & Windows NT to gain maximal server performance and security.- Monitor corporate network to work without problem to ensure company productivity.
